DISTRIBUTION
A Territory Is an Operating Commitment, Not a Map Color
Become a Distributor↗01Capability before territory
02Performance is written
03Ownership stays clear
Ownership expressed through product, route and shelf.
Distribution interest is evaluated by the work required to serve the market. Geography matters, but so do channel access, active accounts, warehouse conditions, vehicles, sales coverage, reporting, payment capacity, launch resources, and the ability to protect product and brand standards. A broad territory without operating depth can slow a launch more than a smaller, accountable market with clear routes and buyers.
Any territory structure should define channels, customers, products, term, minimum performance, reporting, inventory expectations, pricing rules, brand use, quality handling, recall cooperation, and exit. Exclusivity is not assumed. Where it is considered, it follows measurable execution and remains subject to written conditions rather than becoming a permanent reward for early interest.
The distributor owns its sales and logistics responsibilities; Tribal Water retains ownership of the brand, approved product claims, core artwork, and the standards attached to them. Neither party speaks for the other outside the authority granted in writing. Customer and performance information is used for account operations and planning, not pooled into an unrelated marketing list.
Capability before territory
Accounts, routes, storage, sales coverage, reporting, and launch resources matter more than requested map size.
Performance is written
Channels, minimums, reporting, quality duties, brand rules, and exit terms belong in the agreement.
Ownership stays clear
Distribution moves product; it does not transfer the trademark, artwork, claims authority, or enterprise goodwill.
